Oops! I did it again....

Well, I have done it again.

Expected people to fill my longing heart.

Expected people to satisfy me....

Expected to find peace in someONE, instead of THE ONE.

With everything going on my life....Brian's dad passing away....catching up with homeschooling after 2 months of his dad being so sick....trying to get ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas....trying to BE the WIFE...the MOTHER...the TEACHER...the FRIEND....the DAUGHTER....the SISTER...

My "love bucket", my heart, my spirit....has been emptying.

And, I have been looking to PEOPLE to fill it.

And becoming angry at them when they can't.

Feeling lonely.

Sad.

Empty.

Angry.

Tired.

I know the ONLY way to be filled.

The ONLY ONE who can truly satisfy...

OK, Lord.

Here I am.

Fill me.

YOU

are what I need.

ONLY

YOU.

Ever run out of gas?

The girls and I had a wonderful time on Saturday. We went to a baby shower back "home" in Illinois. My nephew and his wife are expecting. I am going to be "Great Aunt". Now that is weird!

We enjoyed the "Girls Day Out", dressing up, visiting relatives, and even enjoying the 3 hour drive there and back. On the way home, we drove west into the sunset. It was breathtaking. We had fun taking turns choosing songs on the ipod to sing along to. We sang to Superchick, Hannah Montana, and even Bob Marley.

But, as we neared Cedar Rapids, the unthinkable happened (especially at 10 PM)- we ran out of gas! And, of course, God had spiritual lessons He wanted to teach me.

My Cup Overflows.....

Oh, Lord, fill my cup! I am feeling depleated....

I need You, Jesus.

I have been feeling "yucky" today. Lord, I need You. Thank You that I don't need to go by my "feelings," but that I can claim Your Word.

He restores my soul....

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You annoint my head with oil;

MY CUP OVERFLOWS...
