Word-filled Wednesday

God cares about us!
He cares for His Creation!
Many times, we can fret and worry and become distracted with our circumstances and discouraged with our troubles...
But Jesus tells us that our Father in Heaven is watching over us.
He cares about the birds of the air.
He cares about the flowers in the field.
And, if He cares for these "little" things-
how much more does He care for you-
His precious daughter-
made in His image?
So, today, give Him your worries.
Give Him your concerns.
Trust in Him~rest in Him.
He cares.

Boy, did I need to hear this again! I posted this last summer during the Flood of 2008. I needed then to know that God cared for me. I need to know that again. If you have been following my blog the past couple of weeks, you will know that I have been "going through it!" But, remembering that God cares for me....He is good. If He cares for the flowers and birds of Creation, how much MORE does He care for me? So.....as I walk through trials (both big and little), I will choose to remember His great love and care for me. And, if you would like to read more about my recent struggles, click here and here.

Father God, thank You that You love me and care for me. Help me to rest in You in times of struggles. Help me to fall in Your lap, refreshed and renewed. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life,
what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.
Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who
of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life
?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field
grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these
things will be given to you as well.
34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.-Matthew 7:25-34

lol okay, your link took us to a different post (the wedding dress one!), so I was a little confused!
I love this verse, you are the second one who did it, so it must be something important for today for us to glean from!
Thanks for being such a wonderful friend! I'm always blessed with something from God when I visit your blog!

Thanks!!! Just what I needed today as neither my husband or I can find work. The Lord HAS provided a beautiful home just four days before we had to move!!! It's a brand new house that, because of the housing market, the reality company decided to rent!!!! I never imagined I would live in a NEW house!!! Now we are believing Him for income to pay the rent!!!!!! He will never let us down....I know that.....but it was good to be reminded again today by your blog!

Girl..I have been following and the reason I haven't gotten back to you is I've been walking the SAME walk...I've been struggling with ear pain for 8 weeks...since before we went away..dr to dr...they say now it may be tmj..go figure...My maddie has had her cycle for 8 weeks and we've been working to resolve that with an obgyn...AHhh...my 14 year old and the o.b...gotta laugh:)

It's been a series of events...and with the HOTM conference and our joining a plant church..the excitement NEVER ends!:) I can't believe you lost all the contents on your computer...oh girl...we had it happen on one of ours and we have learned to back up on a regular basis...Been there!

Yesterday I thought of you...I looked down on the way back from, where else but the dr..., to see I was on FUMES...below E...barely made it to the gas station...I thought of you instantly:) lol!

Now that my little novella here is complete...I've missed you!! Keep that head above water!! Hugs!

lori...It's ME...not Maddie..:)

Beautifully writen post. Tracy I know how hard it is to have faith. Sometimes we have to look for those little ways that God shows he is in control and that it will be alright. He has our back! Praise God.
Thanks for sharing your heart.
Have a Blessed Day,
Sherry
